Is Cereal a healthy midnight snack?!
Is Cereal a healthy midnight snack?
i am eating some Reese Puff's now, not the severing size, i dont even know what the serving size is because im only 13, so i was wondering if it was healthy for me, or is it going to mkae me gain weigth
Answers:
No, it is loaded with sugar and other crap. Try cheerios or shreddies. Not the frosted or sugary kinds either. Perhaps just have a plum or banana instead.
It would depend on what type of cereal you're eating. The type you have, bad choice. Loaded with sugar and other nasty stuffs. Serving sizes vary but it seems that most cereal serving sizes are around 1/2 cup.
not at your age
cereal is good but you might try a healthier kind of cereal with less sugar and without chocolate. Also look to see if it is whole grain
Those are not a healthy snack even if you were jogging while eating them.
Do not eat four hours before you sleep. But if you want to have a snack...choose a cereal that is less sugary and fattening....cereal is a great before bed snack as it digests quicker and is light...but be cautious of sugary ones....Kimmie
a healthier non sugar cereal would be much better
but if your 13 i wouldnt worry about it.
but cereal is generally good unless its basically candy. which reeses puffs is
It's better than ice cream or candy! But it's really not good to eat anything really late at night.
its going to make you gain wieght

cereal is good for you and don,t worry about gaining weight some celebrities have said they lost weight by eating it! so you good!
no. Try cherrios
Cereal is good but the crap you're eating sucks. Try the Special K with chocolate chunks. You get your sweet fix without having all sugar.
it might not make you gain weight but it's not healthy for any meal why are you so concerned about your weight are you 200 lbs. at 13?
what are you doing up at midnight don't you have school tommorrow
It depends on the type. Sugary cereals such as frosted flakes and unfortunately, to much Reese's Puffs are going to accomplish two things: Keep you awake because of the sugar spike and if eaten too much, make you gain weight. 13 is not too young to start learning about serving sizes etc.
once an a whiles ok, but not every night
Eating at night is generally a no-no. Try to finish eating by 8 p.m.
Not getting enough sleep will also make you fat, you know.
But, OK, don't worry about it. What's done is done. Have a snack at 8 p.m. if you are hungry, and have a good breakfast in the morning. If you MUST have a nighttime snack, try whole-wheat crackers and some cheese, or a mug of hot milk. Hot milk will help you go to sleep, too.
I'd ditch the sugary cereal in the morning, too. Finish it up, then ask for Cheerios or instant oatmeal (add your own sugar, raisins, etc.).
But hey, you're a kid. Have some fun too, and make sure you get plenty of exercise during the day, and you should be fine.
