Blue cheese - can it cause mycotoxin poisoning?
It tastes and smells moldy. Could it be dangerous to the liver? Does it have aflatoxins, etc.? How much would be safe to consume per day for example.

this god awful stuff is one reason france is on the skids,,,,,,funky blu cheese sometimes causes migraine like headaches, insomnia, gastric reflux, can make it burn when you pee, penicillium camamberti is the mold that gives the vile stuff the blue tint& stink,,,,,,,mold sensitive folks such as those with cystic fibrosis react with worsened symptoms either in environment or consumed as food,,,,i hope french cheese producers get bought out by dubai ports,,,,,maybe they tolerate it better cuz of all the red wine they drink. as ti it's safety, try a teensy weensy chunk or two,if you feel ok after 24 hrs, have a big chunk the next time,,,,if it makes you sick, feed it to alley cats or nuisance pigeons where you live
