Not a dumb Q.It's a bit tangy and all you gotta do is wash it then slice it up and eat is as it is, you don't need to peel the skin.

Get it at a specialty store [A.J] that has them. Cut it from side to side so you can see the "star" and enjoy. Glade to hear you are brave enough to try something new.
