What should I eat?!
What should I eat?
I am 5'5" and 115ish pounds. I tend not to eat a lot of healthy foods, I am a very pickey eater. I won't even eat hamburgers. I also don't like vegetables, it is very rare that I eat them. I like some fruits such as strawberries and apples. But I would like to start eating healthier. Are there any foods that are healty and also taste good?
Answers:
Someone wrote that fried chicken is very healthy. I would like to disagree. Eat meat boiled, baked, or grilled.
Have you ever considered why you don't like some foods, or why you are particular at all? It is a psychological issue. I used to only eat junk food until a point where I became a follower of Christ and started to care about my health and body. At that time my eyes seemed to be opened for the first time; everything was beautiful, fascinating, and vivid. I enjoyed all tastes and smells, finding that merely experiencing those senses were wondrous, and I thanked God. The foods that I detested throughout my entire life are now things I delight in. I am not sure how you, as another individual, could learn to appreciate all food, but it is possible if you change the way you think.
If you cannot overcome your selectiveness, know many options in each food group. Plan each day out of the week what meals you will eat. If you live with parents, ask them to coordinate with you. Learning how to cook or prepare food can cause appreciation.
What comes to mind when you think of vegetables? Broccoli, cauliflower, peas? Are those not appetizing?
What about roasted bell pepper, squash with ginger, mashed potatoes, romaine lettuce tuna salad with lemon as a dressing, celery with almond butter and honey, avocados, or olives? Have you ever cooked carrots in honey and a little brown sugar? There are many options and recipes you can find.
