How do I reduce salt taste in my chili?!

Question:

How do I reduce salt taste in my chili?

Answers:
NOOO!!! The potato thing is a myth. You know what happens when you put a potato in something thats salty? It's still salty and it has a potato in it. The only thing I can suggest is to add more ingredients (meat, beans, tomato, etc) and try to dilute it, or make another batch without salt and combine them.

add no salt or less salt if you add it at all. drain your meat.

If it is already made and you oversalted, add a peeled potato and allow to boil. The potato will absorb the salt.

If not, then go with unsalted beans and tomatoes. Also check the salt content on your spices.

put a whole peeled potato in the pot with the chili and cook it in there the potato will absorb the salt. remove the potato and eat the delicious chili

Put less salt in the chili

If it's already made, I'd go with the previous answers that said you should add more unsalted ingredients to dilute it. If you want ot know how to make it less salty in the future, it depends on how you make it. If you use canned beans, you should rinse them well before adding to the chili or just use dried beans. Add no salt when you soak and cook them. (This is the method I would use.) Also, as already mentioned, check the ingedients on all spices added, especially if it's a prepackaged mix.

You have to add something starchy to absorb the salt....more beans or even potatoes. If you don't want potato in your finished product, then cut them into large chunks and fish them out of the chili after they have done their work of absorbing the salt.
