What's the name of this vegetable?

I tried these vegetables that look kinda like beats... they are red and soft when you boil them and taste like corn... very delicious. Anyone know the name of it?


Answers:
Sounds like Yams. They can look like beets, also they go red and soft when cooked. I personally find them tasteless.
