Lamb's Navy Rum v Captain Morgan's Rum?!
Lamb's Navy Rum v Captain Morgan's Rum?
I was having a discussion with a mate as to which is better and whether anyone still drinks either of these... or if it's just the drink of choice for old men with yellow teeth.
Does anyone drink either of these or think they're cool?
Answers:
Man, rum and coke is my spirit/mixer of choice. I'm not an old man, but my teeth could do with a brush.
It's got to me captain morgans all the way, it has a deeper mellower flavour where as Lambs is harsher and can't be drunk as quickly or in such vast quantities.
You also get a bit of a head on Captain Morgans and coke, which kind of adds to the mellowness of the drink.
Rum is great to drink if you're feeling a bit low, or tired, or under the weather as it has a kind of speedy buzz to it's drunk effect.
Love it
Yellow Hart is the best of the lot.
do it really matter they both will get you drunk
when i started drinking, i drank captain but now i don't drink rum at all. i stick with gin (Bombay) and tonic or wine. it makes me feel high class.
It would have to be the Captain for me and I am not an old man with yellow teeth.
No they aren't cool. They were acceptable in the 70's. Try Woods, or Mount Gay they're both a good old sup. No, I'm not old, I'm only 78 and my false teeth are immaculate.
Captain's all the way.
Lamb by name Lamb by nature.
Spiced rum is a cultural thing...you either like it or you don't and if you like it you love it. I love it. It is perfect for winter and summer. I drank captain morgan's for a very long time, and then got a job at a liquor store during college and tried all of them. The absolute best spiced rum is Sailor Jerry's. It has a deep cherry undertone to it and is very smooth. It is also 92 proof whereas captain morgan is either 72 or 80 proof I can't remember which. If you don't know what proof is it is two times the alcohol percentage of the liquid (100% alcohol is 200 proof). Try Sailor Jerry's and you will never drink anything else.
Yes and very nice with a drop of blackcurrant cordial.
