Why do I feel pain when I eat toast for breakfast or lunch ?
When I eat some toast I eat it without any pain at the start and then arfter I swallow it I experience a horrible pain in my chest which sort of preventing my breathing so I have to go to the sink and get a glass of water to get rid of the toast and so I can breathe better. Anyone know why I get this and how it can be prevented ?
thanks.

eat in smaller bits, and please please please chew well before you swallow. this happens sometimes to me when i try to swallow it well before i chewed it properly. then i realised. now it is ok.
U SHOOLD GIVE ME BEST ANSWER BECAUSE EVERYONE ELSE IS BEING RUDE U SHOULD GO TO A DOCTOR BECAUSE THE TOAST MAY BE TO HARD AND POKING UR CHEST SO JUST EAT STUFF HARD UNTIL U GET ITY CHEKED OUT
Sounds as though you either have a sensitivity to wheat - in which case you need to steer clear of it, or a hiatus hernia - a hole in the diaphragm which allows your stomach to rise into the chest wall and allow the acid in the stomach to rise up because the valve at the top will not close properly. Or a prmblem with you oesophogus (your feeding tube). Best get it checked out.
I use a type of medication called esomeprazole which could come under the names zoton or zantac.
take it always with juice or milk.
Maybe you should have a drink first, so your throat is not so dry. I preusme you haven't got a wheat or yeast allergy ? Try soda bread which is yeast free and softer to eat.(also great with butter and honey !)
take small bites and chew really well
drink with it
