Why does the fridge have a light, but the freezer doesn't??!

Question:

Why does the fridge have a light, but the freezer doesn't??

Answers:
my freezer has a light. but the reason that the fridge has a light and the freezer does not is because the fridge is used more often than the freezer in most cases. you go in the fridge for a drink, not the freezer and so on.

Some freezers (attached to the fridge) DO have a light, but you're right, most don't.

The freezer compartment is smaller than the rest of the refrigerator, so it doesn't require as much illumination. But I think the biggest reason is that any light source (bulb, fluorescent, whatever) will generate at least a small amount of heat, and even after you've closed the freezer door, some of the remains (briefly).

Inside such a small area, it would take a considerable amount of energy (electricity) for the freezer to rebound to it's original temperature.
