Basil has lots of nutrients particularly vitamin C, calcium, vitamin A and phosphorus. Basil is a useful source of magnesium, potassium and iron. fresh Basil is always higher in nutrients than dried. It is very easy to grown yourself. Most department stores sell Herb kits usually consisting on 4-5 herbs. I love mine!

Vitamin C, A and Beta-Carotine.

Basil is said to be rich in the following nutrients-
Vitamin K.
Calcium.
Iron.
Vitamin A.
Fibre.
Manganese.
Magnesium.
Vitamin C.
Potassium.
