Do I have a right to sue?!

Question:

Do I have a right to sue?

For 2 years I have stopped every morning, on my way to work, at the White Hen and get a 44ounce diet coke. However, after I finished it, I poured another 12 ounce can into the glass. It almost filled half the glass. I tested the cup and I only was able to fit 40 ounces. I have been short changed for 2 years.

Answers:
get over it

Get a hold of an un-opened bottle and take it to a law office and show them but you not going to get the exact amount of money you lost back because i doubt that you kept all of the receipts

Well, it depends on how much total $ you have spent there, if its a reasonable amount, you could pry take it up in a small court AND " get your money back "

um i dont think that will get you anywhere you could contact diet coke and maybe they give you coupons or maybe even free diet coke products the number is usally on the label

IDK maybe you should contact a lawyer or go to te White Hen and tell them what you found out and tell them you want free stuff or youll sue them and see what happens. also maybe they made a mistake and gave you the wrong size cup on accident. Do they sell a 40oz?

People can sue for anything these days. I've read about dumber lawsuits than what your considering. So if you've got the money to pay a lawyer (he'll take 1/3 of anything you win), go ahead.

thats nothing to worry about you should have figured this out earlier and go buy coke somewhere else

44 ounce.. omg

no, suing would probably cost you more money (legal fees) then it's worth.

go for it.. probably a waste of time but it will give u something to do some excitement or something

I would think for those 2 years you would of have to keep all those receipts to prove it.

sounds like u have a dull and un eventfull life.. Your the McDonalds lady just a few years too late.. Its sue happy people like you that make insurance cost for the rest of us so high!!! And thats a fact

Unless you think a substantial amount of money is to be gained(more than what your attorney would charge), it is not worth it.

YES! First of all you can sue for anything, but you could win a case like this.

There was a recent case where a man who for some reason decided to count the squares on a roll of toilet paper. I don't remember the exact figures, but to make a long story short the rolls of toilet paper were 25% less than what was advertised. He took this to a lawyer who sued the company for false advertising. He got $10,000.

You should consider a class action suit against White Hen (now owned by 7/11), Coca-Cola, the maker of the cup (Solo) and Ford Motor Company (since they made your car).
White Hen sells thousands of beverages every day, so serving 5% less than advertised adds up to a stack of cash.

You should call the Illinois Attorney General's office.

Legal fees may cost higher than what you lost, however, getting a group of people to file a class action suit against the company for false advertisement may get more attention. This will take longer, though. By the time anything comes of it, you will be so hassled by all of the paper work, court appearances that disrupt your entire week, and all of the other BS that goes along with court, that you will want to pull your hair out.

In my opinion, it's not worth it, but you do have the right.

ps. 44 ounces of diet coke??? If you develop brain cancer from ingesting that much nutra sweet - that's where you can file a lawsuit.

Yes, but when your Coke starts costing $17.34 don't come bitching about it!!

anybody can sue. America is proof of that. we sue everybody for everything. the question is do you want to be known as the person who sued over at most 8 oz of diet coke a day? I see that White Hen is being bought by 7 11. send White Hen and/or 7 11 and e-mail expressing your disappointment and let it go.

check the laws in that state and maybe u can get your money back and a little extra
p.s. if u win a big law suit i need 10% thanks
