IT WOULD BE GRILLED MACKEREL WITH MELTED CHEESE ON TOP OF THE SKIN. I AM GOING TO SERVE IT IN MY RISTORONTE BUT WAS WONDERING I PEOPLE WOULD LIKE IT. THANK YOU!

We cook skin and bone the mackerel, mix it with cheese sauce, sprinkle cheese on top and grill. delicious - if you like mackerel that is.

Don't know that I'd like cheese on the skin though, a lot of people don't eat it.

I would eat it. Yes, I would eat cheesy mackerel, on a picnic if it's packable. In fact i would think it is quite snackable. I would eat it every day, I would eat it on the quay. I would eat it with a bear, I would eat it everywhere. But please, the only thing which gives me unease is the skin, which is chewy akin to gristle, like chewing on thistle. So, please if i can behoove thee, please remove for me, the skin.

If I wanted mackerel with cheese - I'd grate the cheese, mix it with (cooked) mushrooms and onions and possibly a little garlic... and chilli? Then I'd stuff the mackerel with the mix; which I'd then pan-fry or grill - skin on.

with skin and cheese, nice!! I have peppered mackerel (cold)with mash and cheese over the top!! great quick food and comfort food too!!

Very oily mackerel - rich cheese? Too much for me - I would suggest a light lemon foam sauce.
