Ketchup commercially sold at supermarkets, like Heinz, Del Monte and Hunts, do NOT contain meat products.
The ingredients listed on my Heinz bottle of Ketchup are:
Tomato Concentrate from tomatoes, Distilled vinegar, High fructose corn syrup, Corn syrup, Salt, Spice, and Onion powder.
Thanks and good luck.

I don't think so. Ketchup is usually just tomatoes, vinegar, and sugar. Just read the ingredients if you're unsure.
No, it's not true. Mostly, ketchup is made from tomatoes, vinegar, and spices (sometimes sugar or honey is added). Look on the label of the bottle at the store--it will give you the complete list of ingredients, as required by the government. Good luck!!
No, I don't think so. It's mostly tomatoes, sugar, salt, condiments, etc.
No it is made from tomatos. Tomato sauce is sometimes out of a meat base but ketchup has absolutely no meat in it.
No, Go take another shot of vodka.
read the ingredients...main ingredient tomatoes
No ketchup I've ever seen (commercially) has ever contained anything but tomatoes, corn syrup, and herbs/spices.
I suppose someone could have a home-made recipe that includes some meat product---maybe broth or gelatin or something---but I've never seen anything like that in any store.
Are you serious????
No.
Tomatoes and lots of chemicals.
It's made from tomatoes.
False the special ingrediant is tomatoes.
The meat of the tomato.
anything else would be a BBQ sauce or ???
Read the label..
NO. Tomatoes last I heard. Perhaps Heinz is going to change the recipe.
NO IT IS MADE OF TOMATO CONCENTRATE, RED RIPE TOMATOES, DISTILLED VINEGAR, HIGH FRUTOSE CORN SYRUP, REGULAR CORN SYRUP, SALT, SPICE, ONION POWDER, NATURAL FLAVORING. I READ IT OFF THE BOTTLE SO THERE IS NO MEAT CONTENT.

No, it's tomato paste, but surely is good on a burger!
Im pretty sure that ketchup usually consists of these ingredients: Tomato Concentrate from tomatoes, Distilled vinegar, High fructose corn syrup, Corn syrup, Salt, Spice, and Onion powder. A friend of mine (A vegetarian), eats ketchup...
Are you trying to scare the vegetarian people into a worldwide panic? Good job : )
The original ketchup was called catsup. They squeezed the red "sup" out of dead cats, so YES. Ketchup comes from meat.
nope. your friend lied to you.
Ketchup is made from tomatoes.if it had meat in it,it would not last one hundred years a bottle..I lie.
I would have to answer no to this question. Generally ketchup is made from tomatoes and corn syrups and seasoned. However I have come across some ketchup that are made with Worcestershire sauce which may contain anchovies.
Mostly beaks and feet...very little meat
LOL!!! By now you know the answer.
