Why does it do this?
So I've always wondered this but never could figure it out. Say I'm eating a soft serve ice cream cone. I take a lick and then take a drink of a carbonated soda (like coke). Why does it feel like there is so much more carbonation after I do this? Is it some sort of reaction with the ice cream?

the cold makes the receptors in your mouth more sensitve. Ever smacked your hand on something when its cold and it hurt worse then when you did it when your hand was warm?
