Remember the good candy?!

Question:

Remember the good candy?

Anyone remember the candy bar Marathon Bar? How about Flix? They looked like Hershey kisses? Wow, those were the good ole days when you could walk to the store and get 100 pieces of candy for $1.00. Tell me about your favorite candy from your childhood! Thanks:0)

Ewww, this makes me sick thinking about it....but, remember the fire sticks? Those hard flat cinnamon candy sticks? Ooooh, I loved those. Your lips would be on fire and bright red...but we still kept eating them. I finally threw one up and never ate another one. To this day I'll pass on cinnamon candy. :)

Bonomo Turkish Taffy. It came in a bar about the size of a Hershey bar. Chocolate Vanilla and Strawberry were the flavors. I loved the vanilla and the strawberry. The vanilla was so creamy tasting. The trick was to smack the whole bar against a hard surface, like the table and it would shatter into pieces, then you would open it up and eat it. It was fun to break, and tasted so wonderful. It was weird that it would break like that cause it was kind of soft too.but you couldn't bite a piece off...no way...it couldn't be done...you had to smack it. The directions were right on the package. I think I remember they might have had banana flavor too.
Wish I could get some again! Thanks for the opportunity to reminisce

Here is a list of discontinued candies that I enjoyed during my childhood. It's so sad that I'll never get a chance to savor these candies ever again.

Good & Fruity
Marathon Bar
Gatorade Gum
Wacky Wafers

By the way, Flicks are back! Click this link to check it out.

Remember lemon heads, boston baked beans, and those foot candies you dip in sour snap crackle stuff.
