Do you eat to satisfy your hunger or do you eat to get full?!

Question:

Do you eat to satisfy your hunger or do you eat to get full?

You know that full feeling? Is that you goal in a meal?

Answers:
Unfortunately, I'm guilty of overeating from time to time. Thats when you eat, and eat, well past the satisfied feeling til the point where you can't "stomach" anymore.

When I overeat, it causes me to have headaches hours long, lethargy, tiredness, sleepiness, and eventually I end up in a "food coma" til I wake up with my stomach doing flip flops because my digestive system is so stressed. . . .

Usually, i eat til satisfied. And I don't experience any of the forementioned symptoms.

Here is the rule of thumb: Food is suppose to energize you after eating. If it doesn't then something is wrong, whether its a food allergy you weren't aware of or simply eating too much . . .

Optimally, you should eat until you are satisfied & hunger is gone.

Filling up until you are full (feeling bloated, need to rest, need to open top button on pants kind of thing) means you have overeaten.

No...Eating the right proportions is my goal to maintaining a healthy weight

I eat to nourish my body. Since I've been eating healthier, I'm less hungry. I eat lean meat, veggies, fruit, low fat dairy and whole grains. I eat 6 times a day and feel GREAT!

I hate feeling full - so, I eat until I don't feel hungry anymore - but, not totally full- like a thanksgiving meal!!
your not going to ask our weights now, are you? Lol

I only eat wen i m terribly hungry otherwise no need 2 eat.So no point 2 eat full.

I eat because my body needs fuel.

I eat to satisfy my hunger. ?
