What does it mean when you get hungry like two hours after you eat something?!

Question:

What does it mean when you get hungry like two hours after you eat something?

Answers:
it means your still hungry, or stop eating Chinese food lol

Eat every 2 to 3 hours to keep your metabolism up. Eat a carb, fat, and protein. (small portions)

You ate something with a high GI...stop eating refined foods!

that your metabolism is working. have a snack.

You could be confusing hunger with thirst. Try drinking a glass of water before you snack. Also foods high in carbohydrates like cereal and bread give you a quick boost in energy and fill you up quickly. However, the sugar rush dies just as quickly as it started leaving you unfulfilled. If this is the case, especially with breakfast, complement these items with meat and fruit.

it is a good idea to eat small meals every 2-3 hours. But it doesn't fit a lot of people's habits or lifestyles.

if you are eating too many simple carbs and sugars and not enough fat and protein then you may get hungry quickly. Sugars (which all carbs become) burn quickly while fat and protein burn more slowly.

Also, are you drinking caffeinated or sugary beverages? Coffee, cola or energy drinks might end up amking you crave food.

It means that you didn't eat enough. Try eating more fiber and veggies. That will fill you up. Also drink water.

You didn't get enough fiber or protein. You need to not eat something that's refined carbs/sugars. Try something that's more filling such as fruits, veggies, soups, etc. If you do eat something like 100 cal pack of a snack then prepare to be hungry soon after. Also, drink water bc maybe you just think you're hungry but you're really needing fluids.

Possibly your problem has to deal with your diet. Do you eat alot of junk food.

Thats your problem. Refined sugars and carbs digest very quickly therefore raising your blood-glucose levels. As a result, your pancreas secretes large amounts insulin to transport the high levels of glucose to the cells. As a result of doing its job, insulin can do its job a lil too well resulting in very little blood glucose to circulate in the blood stream.

Your brain then sends out signals to eat to get the blood glucose back up because the brain is a glucose hog. And when adequate levels of glucose aren't maintained, the brain stresses and you may feel light headed, irritable and moody til you eat something.

The best thing you can do is increase your servings of vegetables, fruits, healthy grains and starches, and limit those junk foods or you will continue to experience the same thing.

It means what you ate 2 or 3 hours ago wasn't very high in protein. Protein is what keeps the body feeling satisfied.
