I use to be a short order cook and I once sliced a biscut in half,buttered it and put them on the grill to toast up and a customer told me I was doing the wrong thing,but she ended up loving it...
I love them, and I'm originally from the South. I've moved to Scotland, though, and they have never heard of them! I fixed them for my in-laws-to-be and I don't think they liked them at all! They gave me funny looks when they tasted them! (Although a biscuit here is a cookie and they don't have any real equal to our biscuits.) I miss Southern foods!!!

Yes , Yes , Yes Indeed !!! My husband swears by his Iron Skillet as being the secret to his fabulous gravy. I hope to tell you what, Nothing says comfort food like biscuits and gravy early in the morning. My Mom used to make Chocolate Gravy for us kids,,,,,,,,,,,OMG,,,,,,,,Talk about Yummmmm !!!

What You Need
1 cup white sugar
1 tablespoon self-rising flour
1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/4 cups water
1 tablespoon butter
What You Do
In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, flour and cocoa powder. Add water and stir. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally until thick. Remove from heat and add butter. Serve warm.
I don't. I love biscuits, but I cannot even look at gravy without being grossed out. I was raised in Chicago
Umm...love them.....still miss the special biscuits my gran made, never used a recipe yet they always came out perfect and tasted like no other
I do indeed love biscuits and gravy but unfortunately I can not eat too many of them any longer. My heart Doc says they clog my arteries and I ain't anxious to have by pass surgery again.
Some folks like biscuits and red eye gravy. My grandfather like biscuits and tomato gravy. My mother and father like biscuits with liver and gravy smoothered in onions.
My personal favorite is biscuits and fresh venison tenderlion fried golden brown with brown gravy made from the venison residue. Oh My.......what a temptation.
