Absolutely not, but you do want to limit you're fresh fruit intake ; even though fruit is good for you it's still sweet but the sugar is natural sugar. (not refined) Ex,a lot of people can't eat but half of an orange because of it's natural sugar content. Remender that what's Dr. want you to limit, you're sugar intake where it be from natural sugar or refind such as you find in cakes, cookies pies;etc. Yes, you can even have a piece of pie or cake once in a while; but remenber too count that as two carbs. (so leave off two pieces of bread for that day); Also exercising three times a week for ten minutes a day plus you're medication helps. There's no reason you should fear having diabetes; Properly control you taking you're meds as directed, exercising, monitoring you're gloucse levels and having you're 3 month check-up,( that's includes you're HbA1c); I know it's all sounds overwhealming right now , but believe me it will get easier . theres no reason you can't have a "normal" life like everyone else.

Been a Type2 diabetic for 7 yrs.
You should definitely check with your doctor about your Type2 Diabeties and diet.
Having said that, healthy people can consume a moderate amount of fruit. The "5 a day" recommendation is broken-down further by stating that a serving is 1/2 cup and that most of your "5 a day" should in fact be vegetables and that you should limit the consumption of fruit and fruit juice, keeping quantities to more than 1 cup of fruit or 8 ounces of fruit juice.
Cucumbers are mostly water, but the seeds can be a problem for many people. Even the "seedless" cucumbers aren't truly seedless.
Be sure to check with your doctor about your diet.
