How do you make a drink in the blender without it being frothy?!

Question:

How do you make a drink in the blender without it being frothy?

When using ice and fresh fruit. It seems that everytime hubby makes us a smoothie it's really frothy. Any suggestions.

Answers:
Not enough ice?

In any case, blenders do pull a lot of air into whatever is being blended, so, everything will be frothy to some extent... but if it is too much, I think not enough ice could be the problem.

use the pulse button

takes longer but avoids froth

Less milk, more ice

I had that same problem and I found that if you add more ice it doesnt become frothy.

if there is more ice then while churning it hits the walls of the vessel and produces more disturbance thus producing more froth . my suggestion that you blend the fruits without ice and after wards u add frappe or separately churned ice so that it dissolves quickly. and also the remaining froth you can easily remove by spoon and you keep it for sometime in air so that the froth subsides.

Add more ice or a little bit of cold water
