Need help finding this one candy from a while back...?!

Question:

Need help finding this one candy from a while back...?

ok, maybe this is not so much a candy...but when i was young (i'm 25) my mom used to buy these.. i guess.. dehydrated ice cream bars. They were soooo good. They were really dehydrated ice cream and they came in rectangular blocks and they melted in ur mouth when u ate em. I think they were called something like "Astronaut Ice Cream." PLEASE tell me someone out there knows what im talking about and where i can find them. I want to get some to put in goodie bags at my daughter's 1st bday party. ...thanks.

Answers:
It's now marketed as astronaut ice cream. I've seen it in museum gift shops but you can also buy it online

or at any other survival store, where they stell stuff for camping and whatnot.

you can get dehydrated ice crean at anything that has to do with NASA. I found it at the National Air and Space Museum in Virginia.

Thats what there called, however, you can get them at any larger outdoor store like Cabellas. In general you will find it in backpacking supplies with the other freeze dried foods.

space ice cream

im sure you can go on the air and space museums website and order some

I think that "Space Dots" are similar, but I've only seen them at amusement parks, or as give-aways at tech conventions. Couldn't find a source on the web for you either.

I know that they still sell that stuff at the Smithsonian Air and Space museum. You may wanna call them up and find out the manufacturers name. or maybe they would sell you some. That stuff was pretty nasty as i remember. good luck with that.

I remember that!

My mom ordered it from the back of a box of cereal.

It was Neopolitan, it came in a silver foil pack.

I don't know where you can get it now, but check the other answers.

I've been able to find this at Wal-Mart, in the camping section.
