Where should I order foods or buy from to make it with $300 a month?
I have only $300 a month for food and I don't think I could eat nutrisystem all day long, but I also have costco, albertsons, and other big grocery stores near.
Therefore, should I order food online like schwans.com? Or eat 99 cent burgers?

My goodness, please don't eat 99 cent burgers! Didn't you watch that movie about the guy who only ate McDonalds??? You can absolutely make it on $300 - I spend about that much for a month's groceries for me AND my husband sometimes. Buy big bags of rice and beans (or cans of beans if you don't want to soak and cook them) - they're super cheap and nutritious. Stock up on some seasonings to spice them up with. Buy fresh fruits and vegetables from produce stands or farmers markets and only buy what you know you'll eat. Or buy canned vegetables that are on sale. Sometimes you can find cans of corn and the like for THREE FOR A DOLLAR! Peanut butter and honey sandwiches go a long way, too. Don't waste your money on junk drinks like sodas and you'll have more money for stuff that actually gives you nutrition. Also check places like Big Lots or 99cent stores for low-priced staples. I would avoid the typical on a budget meal - RAMEN - that stuff is loaded with salt and just isn't good to eat all the time. Avoid bagged salads - they're way more expensive than just buying a few heads of lettuce and chopping them up yourself. Look on the day-old bread rack at your grocery store for bargains. Planning your meals is the best way to make your dollars stretch - get flyers from the Sunday paper and use coupons! I wouldn't spend your money ordering food online - you'll have to pay shipping!
How many people are you feeding first of all? If you are the only one, I believe you could shop anywhere and eat well for 300 dollars. Also Shwans is great as well!!
buy cheap
my son and I live on 220 a month in food ,,and we eat very well just have to cook and learn how to streach the budget i buy a roast have it with potatoes ,carrots and celery the first day ,take some out for sandwiches after supper ,then trow the whole thing in and make veggie soup, just add stewed tomatoes ,a bag of frozen soup veggies a small can of v8 and a small cabbage this you can eat for a few days ,make big pots of spagetti, gulash, beans you can figure it out if just learn to like what you have to do to survive
You can buy a whole bunch of hamburger meat and buns at the grocery store, make into patties and freeze them and the buns, and use a George Forman to cook, and also have it your way, for a lot cheaper than having a hamburger from Burger King. The white bread served with these does not fill you up, and you will be hungry real soon, because fiber as in romaine lettuce, tomatoes, vegetables and fruit, and substituting the bun for a whole wheat type will keep you full and lower your budget.
Eat a variety of foods, eating hamburger only one to two times a week- it makes' you dull and lethargic and your bones soft if it is always eaten.
I go to GroceryGame.com and find out what to buy that is at the most rock bottom price for the next three months at my favorite store, and buy two for each person that uses it, in other words stock up- with the coupons in sunday paper to lower the price even more!
Don't buy all that fancy cleaning and paper products.Use vinegar, salt, baking powder to clean, and cloth towels to dry with.
Drink water with meals
Don't forget breakfast, so that you won't eat all your food in the house at one sitting at night, because you've starved yourself. Make up menus for two weeks, and only buy what is needed for these, like the main meal ones. Smith's seem to have lowest prices over all, or Walmart. Eating out kills your finances. Budget it in, and stick to the amount you can afford, like with friends- and eat at home, bringing bag lunches.
I have a family of 4 and we eat on $300 or less in a month. I shop at Wal-Mart Supercenter. That's where I find the cheapest prices where I am.
It doesn't matter where you shop. you have to shop smart. First of all split that cash evenly and shop three times, so you can have they benfit of fresh fooods and veggies. try to buy family packs of meat and split in ziploc bags in freezer. you save alot on bigger packages. if you make spagetti sauce or stew always make more and freeze some for later. Glance at flyers sometimes the deals are great. I find costco good only if you want a specific item, if you shop there you will blow through the budget in one shop and not end up with a good variety of different foods. Please don't eat 99 cent burgers.
