Alumninum foil? Uh, actually, YEAH it does get hot, it can get hot enough to catch on fire. (like the type you put over food, for example)

What the heck are you talking about putting it on your tongue? O_o

I assume it wouldn't, if it doesn't get hotter.

i thort foil did get hot.. maybe my burning fingers was just my imagination then

Who said foil doesnt get hot?

Foil can definitely get hot. Try putting foil around a potato and put it in the microwave for a minute. I guarantee it will be VERY hot.

Actually, foil does get hot, but for no more than thirty seconds after being taken from heat. Why do you think they make engine blocks out of aluminum for vehicles...they only heat up to a certain degree and then cool down instantly. Aluminum doesn't conduct heat. So, go ahead and put it on your tongue...prove them wrong.

For the person who puts foil on a potato and puts it in the microwave is asking for a nuclear meltdown. Metal arcs in a microwave and microwaves are mini exrays that excite water molecules that rush around each other so fast that heat gets created and cooks the food UNLESS there's foil on the food and foil bounces back the ,miniexrays . Duh
