What are some other uses for horseradish besides as a condiment for prime rib?
I want to use the large amount of horseradish I acquired over the three day weekend. I love it dearly, but wish to use it more than ever, more than simply for a meat condiment.

u can use it to make a hamburger by adding the horseradish in the meat and mising it together..you canuse it to make dressing with ketchup horseradish chives and salt and pepper its a very good dressing by the way

There are a lot of great things you can do with it:
DIJON HORSERADISH POTATOES
10-12 new potatoes
2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
2 tablespoons butter/butter
2 teaspoons flour
? teaspoons pepper
? cup milk
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon horseradish
Cut potatoes into halves or quarters. Cook in small amount of lightly salted boiling water for 15-20 minutes, or until done. Drain and set aside.
Cook onion in butter until tender. Stir in flour, pepper, and ? of the salt. Add milk. Cook, stirring until thickened and bubbly, approximately 1 minute.
Stir in mustard and horseradish. Pour sauce over potatoes tossing gently to coat

TWO CHEESE SPREAD WITH HORSERADISH
1/2 lb. (1 cup) cottage cheese
1 3-oz. pkg. cream cheese
1 tbsp. horseradish
1/2 tsp. paprika
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
5 or 6 sprigs parsley
1/2 tsp. Bell seasoning or ground sage
1/2 tsp. salt
Place all ingredients into a blender and mix until uniform.

BAKED HAM WITH HORSERADISH GLAZE
5 1/2-6 lbs. fully cooked boneless ham, cut into 1/4 inch slices and tied
Whole cloves
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1/3 c. horseradish
1/4 c. lemon juice
Heat oven to 325 degrees. Place ham on rack in shallow roasting pan. Insert cloves in ham. Bake 1 to 1 1/2 hours. In small saucepan, stir together remaining ingredients; heat to boiling. Increase oven temperature to 400 degrees. Pour horseradish glaze over ham. Bake 15 minutes longer, basting occasionally with glaze. 10 servings. Ask your meat retailer to cut the ham, reassemble and tie with cord.
bloody marys, cocktail sauce, in veggie dips, in chicken or tuna salad, coleslaw, corned beef, on a sandwich, in a sip/sauce for salmon or crab cakes, in your mashed potatoes, and last but not least.... mixed in with a little mayo and dip saltines in it. lol, i know, it grosses my husband out too, but it one of my favorite midnight snacks. my 3 year old even likes it!

1/2 Cup Horseradish
2 Tablespoons Tobasco Sauce
