Healthy Meal Options?

I'm trying to lose a bit of weight, and I would like some direct input from people instead of going to websites to find heathy meal options.

Between me and my husband, I'm the only one who does the cooking, so I really need them to be quick and easy. Simple too. Both my husband and I aren't too fond of anything that comes out of the ocean, so we mostly stick to chicken and beef. If you have a good pasta or vegetarian meals, I'd like those too.


Answers:
The best thing you can do is veg it. No I am not a vegiterian but, I love veggies and when I am trying to lose a few I stick to them. Raw veggies, steamed veggies, sauted veggies.
You can get the protien you need if you are sidestepping meat for a while by making sure you eat legumes.
I also turn to salads but, stay away from pastas alltogether.
And of course fruits. They are always your friend and you can indulge to your hearts (literally) delight.
Try new veggies youve never tried. Have you had cayote squash? Yummy. How about parsnips? just satue them in a little olive oil until tender. you can add them to mashed potatoes too. Kohlrabi and fennel are two really tasty delights and can be braised. I guess by now you get the hint. Look for new things and eat lots of fruit & veggies.
