Something that keeps your drink cold!

usually it is frozen water!

ice = diamonds in eighties slang.

Legally classified by federal liquor laws as a food.

Ice is a REALLY cold beverage,

Ice is neither a beverage nor a condiment. Typically speaking, ice is something that is used to alter the temperature of a drink by making it colder. Or it is used to keep foods that need to be chilled cool. On drinks, ice can also make a bottle of soda, juice, or tea last a little longer (but not much) if you put a little in your glass before adding the liquid.

However, ice can also serve as a desert or sweet treat. Shave it and flavor that for sno-cones or shaved ice. Flavor the water before freezing and then serve it up with a spoon and you've got an Italian ice.
