Do you like watered-down on tap soda or soda in a can?!

Question:

Do you like watered-down on tap soda or soda in a can?

I absolutely hate getting a drink with my fast food. Yes, I know I shouldn't eat fast food and I should drink bottled water, but that is not the question. ;0)

Why are so many people paying almost $2 for a cup FULL of ice with a watered-down soda that tastes nothing like what the soda companies have spent lots of money trying to perfect? If we are going to drink that crap they might as well sell it like that in the can. I am sure they would save lots of money. So who is enjoying it and who is not? Am I a minority? I am starting to think so or they wouldn't do it. So does that mean people don't like the taste in the can or do they just not care?

Thanks for your input!

It depends on how it's mixed. I've had it plenty of times from the tap where the ratio of syrup to the "water" was too light and you can't taste the syrup, but I've also had it the opposite, with too much syrup (which you can taste) and not enough of the water. Yuck!
If I really had to choose, I'd pick the can or bottle over the tap any day, unless the tap is perfectly mixed, which, 9 times out of 10, it's not. I think there's nothing more quenching than opening up an ice cold can of soda. It just tastes refreshing.

I actually kind of like the tast of watered-down soda. They only do it because they can make more out it and it will be cheaper.
It is diffidently too watered-down sometimes and almost completely water. I think people don't really care. Why stop at two places for a drink and a meal?
I guess I don't care, but they need to limit the amount of water, because then it just tastes like water.
Maybe it is better that we are drinking more water than soda. lol! I agree with you somewhat...but, I guess I don't care much.

If it is VERY fizzy, I actually like on-tap soda over ice. If it is at all flat, I prefer it from the can instead.

I only buy soda's where I can serve myself,. and control the amount of ice. Personally, I think they made a HUGE mistake when they started putting soda in cans and plastic bottles, cause nothing ever tasted better than a cold soda in a glass bottle, and the last time I checked, glass is still recycleable

can for me too!

Soda from a glass bottle. All the way.

Soda from can or bottle

I am picky too, about my soda (coke). If it does not have the strong flavor (like drinking it cold out of the can), its not good. I'm so bad, sometimes I let someone else order so I can tell if its good.

Sometimes its not the ice that makes it watery, some places put extra water in the mix that comes out of the machine. This place I used to work for when I was a teenager did that.

i like soda in the can better. tastes better and somehow fresher..
