Lions eat meat because they are carnivorous. They are carnivorous because of the environment they have, food can only be acquired through hunting. Meat is rich in protein that lions need to get their energy.

They are known for their hunting skills and they are very effective when they hunt in groups. Lions prefer hunting at night and as early as 3 months their cubs are being trained for their hunting skills.

An adult female lion needs about 5 kg (11 lbs) of meat per day, a male about 7 kg (15 lbs).

meat is high in protein, which lions need so that they can stay kings of the jungle, and pick on everybody else

There are two answer.The first one is to ask the lion and the scond is because they are carnivores(meat eater).

It's cause the lion is big and meat has a lot proteins compaired to plant and meats have a better taste ??
