Do you taste buds really change?!

Question:

Do you taste buds really change?

I heard that they change every seven years. Meaning, a type of food we didn't like a few years back, we try, and end up actually liking it.

Answers:
I don't believe the whole 7 years thing, but obviously as people grow and mature they are more willing to try foods that they once turned their noses up at.
One of my sons is 18 and he was always the pickiest eater. Well, he did basic training (Army) last summer and let me tell you that will knock the picky eating out of ya! If he wanted to eat, he had to eat what they had so he had to eat foods he once never would have touched. Opened up a whole new world for him.

That's happened to me. I usta love green beans a couple years ago but now I hate them. My bro loved bananas but now he hates them.

yeah they do

I never ate tomatoes when I was younger. I hated the taste. Now, I eat them on a somewhat regular basis. I would not have done this when I was younger. Same with root beer. I drank gallons of it growing up. Now, I cannot stand it. I have never enjoyed the taste of coffee, so that is one taste bud that has not changed.

Your taste buds themselves don't change, but your preferences for certain flavors do.
