Question:

I'm just now eating a Scotch Egg. Do you have Scotch Eggs in America?

Answers:
If a Scotch egg consists of a cold, hard-boiled egg removed from its shell, wrapped in a sausage meat mixture, coated in breadcrumbs, and deep-fried, then no.

I have never heard of or tasted a Scotch. Is it good?

Not to my knowledge.

Sorry I haven't seen that before.

Not that I have ever seen or heard of...
But I just looked up Scotch Egg and they sound pretty good..........

No, but we will if you teach us how to make them.
:-))
.

They're not at all popular here (USA), but I do know what they are. I think they're actually very good, but they're a nuisance to prepare.

I ate a few back in 2001, in a pub outside of Sydney, Australia. Apparently they're semi-popular there.

Its something I don't think I'd eat unless I were like 90. Its an "old folks" dish, like prune juice and blood pudding.

i haven't had one for years( i ive in scotland) they are really great for picnics though!.

I've had Scotch Eggs before, they're not bad. (but no fried Mars Bars or jellied eel, please) Nope, unfortunately we don't have those here in America. Maybe they serve them in some of the English pubs (2) here in San Diego. They serve things like bangers and mash and steak and kidney pie. With a Bass Ale, bliss :o)

i have never even heard of a scotch egg until now
