Apple slices?!

Question:

Apple slices?

If I put apple slices in a zip loc bag and take them to work, will they not go brown by the time I eat them (like 4-5 hours later)? And do they need to be refrigerated? Anyone know?

Answers:
Put a small amount of lemon juice on them, this will keep them from turning brown, and you really don't need them in the frig.

If u put them in a zip lock you need to press the air out to make sure that it does not turn bad. It may also be a good idea to place them in the fridge.

Hi there!! If U want to keep them from turning brown just squeeze a bit of lemon juice on them. It will preserve them 'til U r ready 2 eat them. I like my apples a bit cold & in this warm weather they might b more refreshing in the fridge than just laying out on a counter or desk ;)

THE BEST WAY TO KEEP APPLES SLICES WHITE IS TO PUT THEM IN A BOWL WHICH CONTAINS WATER AND A HALF LEMON DON'T WORRY THEY''LL NOT DE SOUR.IF THEIR BROWN ALREADY AND YOU REFRIGERATE IT ,IT DOESN'T MAKE ANY DEFERENCE

They wont spoil, however ideas like keeping them refridgerated or using lemon juice helps keep it fresh longer. I like my apple slices crispy and cold!

They will start to turn brown the moment you slice them. That is a natural chemical reaction to exposure to the air. (Technically, it's called oxidation.) Sprinkling "Fruit Fresh" on the slices will stop it, as will tossing them in a little lemon juice. Also, you could wrap the slices individually in plastic wrap to cut off the exposure to air.

They should be refrigerated, just to be safe.

yes and yes.... just try to sprinkle lemon juice/lime juice on them b4 u put them in a bag, that will forsure help the brown-ness.....im prettysure that they dont need to be in the frige, you can still eat them

hope i helped
