Are sunflower kernals good for you?!

Question:

Are sunflower kernals good for you?

I love them and can eat them by the handfuls. Are they good for me and is that eating to many, you know by the handful.

Answers:
They are good for you, in moderation. They contain some fat and calories, but mainly its the good fat. Either way, too much of even a good thing is a bad thing, so limit yourself to maybe a couple handfuls a day.

The raw are better no salt or oil but like you I love them also. They are a good source of vitamins and potassium.

Are you eating them with the shell on? The meats are certainly good for you, fiber and protein and the good fats.

Of course if you're eating a ton of them, they will slow your bowels way down.

no they are a seed and good for you i hope your not eating the shell they can cause a lot of trouble but the seed is fine we eat a lot of sunflower seeds at our house and have for years

there good to me

They are good, but just not a whole lot of it>

they sure are tasty huh...but if u eat them salted which u probably do unless your crackin them all day then ur getting sodium and thats never good an high amounts:)

They have protein and the "good" fats in them as do most types of nuts. Moderation is the key.
