Anyone else tired of throwing your money away at the supermarket?!

Question:

Anyone else tired of throwing your money away at the supermarket?

I buy name brand items and feel like I'm throwing my money away! I bought 2 multi-packs of paper towels last month (the select-size-type) and the perforations were so shabby that I couldn't tear them off without ruining 3 or 4 towels. I buy name brand canned vegetables and find nothing but liquid in the can, boxes of crackers that are nothing but crumbs, and today I bought a frozen entree and it was the most horrible tasting thing I've ever put in my mouth. The fresh produce is so alwful, I've almost given up on it!

I learned a long time ago to check the lids on jars, open the egg cartons, check for holes in flour, sugar, cornmeal, and such, but the items that are sealed shut with no way of checking the quality are about to break me! I really feel like we're being taken advantage of by the manufacturers because most people don't bother to return grocery items. What do you guys think?

you are 100% correct. i feel the same way. you now have a full time job just going to the store.

Yea, I was watching this place on PBS today where they farm fish, grow vegetables with the irrigated water... supply locals with all fresh food. I wish that type of vendor was available everywhere.
