Bread, crackers, rolls, anything like that will soak up the "fire", which is actually caused by the oils in the peppers. Drinking practically anything will not do the trick....remember, oil & water won't mix? That means that the liquid will go away all by itself, and not take the oils with it, therefore making the fire continue to burn!

drink milk, it's guarnateed

milk

Drink milk?

i was going to say milk too

A tortillla, or bread. Lots of milk.

One of three things works for most people: milk, sugar, or vinegar.

Drink white milk, or chew gum.

=]

spoonful of white sugar, let dissolve on your tongue

Drink a sip of vodka.

Cool cucumber slices. At alot of Indian restaurants they give you a side plate with cucumber slices to cool the tongue after eating something really spicy :)

water or ketchup...

The mucousy feeling from Milk. OR take bread and wipe it on your tongue and eat it

milk usually works.....

or toothpaste...

Sliced banana works too

yea its definitely milk.

Yes, the above respondents are correct. Drink milk, not water. Milk works faster in fanning out those "hot" taste buds receptors that have been overstimulated to the point of irritation.

You want an instant neutralization of jalapenos? Blow your brains out dude! That's the only thing that will provide instant relief. If you want something less severe, drink beer and lots of it. Or try Tequila, and lots of it. Depends on how bad ya got it, and how quick ya want it to go away!

Yogurt or sour cream. Just hold it in your mouth for at least 30 seconds.

If you don't have those try peanut butter, coat your tongue and leave for a bit.

Anything dairy...milk, ice cream, yogurt, sour cream, whipped cream....
