Is it harmful to drink warm water in winter to keep warm?!

Question:

Is it harmful to drink warm water in winter to keep warm?

I haven't tried it but I though about it just to keep warm. Is it in any way harmful to drink warm water in winter or any time of the year?

Answers:
When you drink water that is warm your body uses less energy to produce heat.
In a survival cituation it is bad to drink cold water it deprives you of your natural body heat. So drinking warm water is definatly good for you and much better then cold water. Even though water in all is the best thing to drink.

People have been drinking hot drinks for centuries and we are still ok...... My mum used to all the time and shes fine. Its a nice way to warm yourself up from the inside out. The alternative is a nice glass of port. Always does the trick.

Yes it is,,, drink ambient water at that time.
