Hamburgers and beef burgers, are they different??
Ok now obviously some of you are gonna say duhhh one is made from beef and one from ham, but is that true? Cos I have never had a burger that hasn't tasted the same as all the others I've had in my life. And also, I don't like ham/pork/bacon so I would notice.
So whats the deal?
Answers:
They are exactly the same.
The word "Hamburger" comes from Hamburg, Germany; the inhabitants of this city are also known as "Hamburger" in German but as Hamburgians in English. In Germany, local traditional snacks are often named after the place of origin, like the Frankfurter (also known as a hotdog), the Berliner (a type of doughnut) or (Thüringer) Bratwurst. In Hamburg it was common to put a piece of roast pork into a roll, called Rundstück warm, although this is missing the "essence" of the modern hamburger, which is ground meat. However, another theory states that in Hamburg, meatscraps similar to modern ground beef were served on a Br?tchen a round bun-shaped piece of bread. It is said that German immigrants then took the Hamburger to the United States.
And I guess we changed it to beefburger??

Hamburgers where named after the brothers who invented them, the hamburg brothers also lived in Hamburg. Hamburgers & beef burgers are the same, they are both made of beef & no ham goes into either one of them.
A hamburger (or simply burger) is a sandwich that consists of a cooked patty of ground meat that is fried, steamed, grilled, or broiled, and is generally served with various condiments and toppings inside a sliced bun baked specially for this purpose. Hamburgers are often served with french fries, potato chips, or onion rings.
Hamburger also refers to the cooked patty of ground beef by itself. The patty alone is also known as a beefburger, or burger.
Hamburger can also refer to the meat itself. This type of meat can be used in boxed dinners such as "Hamburger Helper". Hamburger is actually a distinct product from ground round and other types of ground meat. However, ground beef of any form is often commonly referred to as "hamburger." A recipe calling for 'hamburger' (the non-countable noun) would require ground beef or beef substitute- not a whole sandwich. Hamburger does not refer to ham.
In the US, we say that jokingly for REAL serious folk who study rocket science. (smile) Actually hamburger is ground beef and depending on the cut of where the beef came from, it can be tender and tasty or bland tasting and hard to chew. the cook also has a lot to do with it also. Soy and other products can be added to hamburger to extend the use of the meat also, in economical situations. Schools, prisions, fast food joints, etc. Happy Eating!!!!
No difference
well if they're both the same how come you can choose both at macdonalds, burger king etc.

Hamburgers are so named not because they contain ham (they don't) but because they originated in Hamburg, Germany.

Hamburg is a city in Germany, and existed before hamburgers did. Hamburgers are named after that city. For a more detailed explanation, search the history, perhaps at Wikipedia.org.
A hamburger and a beef burger are the same thing, different names. Beef burger just emphasizes that it's beef your getting instead of chicken, fish, or something else.
