Do any countries apart from Scotland?

i dint have high expecatations of em when i bought it but it just tastes like a warm chocolate cream eclair!
really really nice actually! :)
Deep fried Mars Bars were invented as a publicity stunt in Aberdeen a few years back, and I see the story's still running. Yes, when they did it, it was in the same oil, but they dipped the thing in batter anyway, so it doesn't really matter.
I have looked for a fried Mars Bar shop but can't find one. Where are they?
yeah they used to do that where i live now, in lincolnshire England. i think its so weird, never heard of deep fried mars bars til i moved up north, but apparently the chippy's used to sell them.
i haven't actually tried one, maybe i should??
its like chips and cheese, i never heard of that before, must be a northern thing too?
f0xymoron, they are a publicity stunt, but they're still available in many chip shops in Edinburgh. I've only ever tried a very small piece though.
And yes, they do use the same oil.
You can get them at a place on one of Sydney's beaches in Australia. There are a few other places you get them in oz too.
And I don't know what kind of oil they use, but are you sure they use sesame oil to deep fry fish? It's very strongly flavoured and I've never ever heard of deep frying in sesame oil. It's also much more expensive than vegetable or corn oil, which is what I thought they would use for deep frying.
with irn bru batter they are yummy
No! Thankfully only the sweaties are daft enough. Apparently they eat an equally disgusting dish called Haggis and all the boys wear skirts and dance around like little school girls.
