Non-vegetarians: would you eat horsemeat?
If not, why?
What other meats would you/wouldn't you like to try?

Sugar PIe, would you eat horsemeat if it was wrapped and presented under plastic at the meat counter? That's how it's sold in many places.

Why the hell not? If you eat meat then you should not turn your nose up at anything. Whatever it is it has to die so providing it tastes good (and horsemeat it delicious) then what does it matter?
LOOOOOOOOL
somehow i dont think they would
id eat horse. id eat anything except snails or frogs or insects.
No, because I'm not a dirty Frenchman.
No I would not i love horses dog and cat no to both those too as well !
No, I would not.
If' it's not wrapped and presented under plastic at the meat counter, there is no chance I'd eat it.
I always have horse meat when I go to France and so do the rest of my family. Those of us who like them also have snails...though I prefer fast food!
I'm not sure, I mean it would depend on the meal, for instance if I was in a restaurant and it sounded really tasty then yeah I would do. Besides I don't like to discrimminate between meats :)
No way, i wont eat duck, rabbit, lamb or any animals insides ie, kidney etc. I want to be a vegetarian but i love chicken curry too much!
I love meat. I would NOT eat horse meat, absolutely not. I wouldn't feel comfortable. I also wouldn't eat any type of cat, dog, rats, etc. ewwwww!
I have always wanted to try shark meat though for some reason.
I'd try it at least once and probably eat it regularly if I liked it. I wouldn't eat snails, just because I can't quite get my head round that one, but I would like to try guinea pig.
i wouldn't do it without someone else telling me it was so good and i had to try it! i'm just more of a cow, pig and chicken girl...i can't stray too far or i get sick thinking about it.
nooooo i coudnt -i was offered this in malta last year and i felt sick(even tho im not a real fan of horses)-they had kangaroo steaks in oz and the thought of that made me want to vomit too
other things i could never eat are kidneys liver and tongue yuk
sure I'd give it a try. I MAY have eaten dog while in China but they were a little coy about the whole thing and maybe pulling my leg.
Other exotics would include: buffalo, deer, wild boar, snails, frog legs, sea cucumber
Shark meat is good - a nice steak like texture - swordfish is very similar.
YEP!!
eaten before didn't realise until to late.
I have eaten smoked horsemeat, horse meat sausage and Zebra biltong. All delicious.
Interestingly, Sweden is one of the world's biggest horse eating countries.
There is no meat that I would not like to try but some bits such as brains, I do not like because of the taste and texture.
ewwwww, NO because I LOVE horses! its like saying would you eat your mum!!!
i also would NEVER eat...
Rabbit
Snails/Frogs
Veal
and perhaps duck!
Yes, and have in spain it`s very nice just like beef.
I would never eat horsemeat, it seems unethical, as they're breeded for racing and sort of as pets.
For some reason I would never eat lamb/sheep/rabbit/goat just wouldn't.
Only eat chicken, beef and pork.
I would definitely eat it. How can you discriminate between a cow and a horse or any other animal for that matter the way to look at it is if the animal you want to eat eats meat itself then don't eat it however most thing that don't eat meat are safe to eat (so watch out veggies) when a race horse breaks its leg its shot wouldn't it be better all round if that horse was eaten ?? all this was on the telly the other night I cant remember what program though.
i have tried horse meat, and im not french, its really nice but difficult to get hold of in this country
i personally wouldnt eat horsemeat not because of how its wrapped ie lovelly to look at nice to ride and generally nice to look at but i dont like beef lamb or pork either but my other half eats all of it and yes he has eaten horsemeat whilst in france .
I would eat it, I have heard that's it's very lean.
