Does anyine have a home icecream maker?!

Question:

Does anyine have a home icecream maker?

Mine is by Rival and I got it at Walmart. Someone threw away the instructions and I don't know what to do. I let the mixture cool in the fridge and i put it into the thing and it's been turning w/ ice around it for 40 min.s now. that's how i remembr the instructions said it but what now? it's still liquidy.

Answers:
In the bucket you will put a layer of ice, rock salt and keep repeating the Rival Maker will shut off all by itself when the cream is ready.

Mine's an older model, but if yours uses ice then you must also use Rock Salt. You keep adding to the ice now and then. I have used reg. salt, but it take longer. Keep adding ice too if it melts. Good luck.

Did you put plenty of salt on the Ice? Have to add plenty. That is what produces temp cold enough to freeze cream (it takes much colder temp to freeze cream than water).

the key is to have salt
layer some ice and then pour some salt o the ice and then another layer of salt and again with the ice and have several layers of the ice and salt mixture, and then sometimes the ice cream mixture will only become so hard, and when u put it in a container ( the ice cream) and add the extra ingredients like strawberries, or oreo cookies,or pieces of chocolate,or whatever and once they r folded in the mixture insert it in the freezer for a few hours for it to harden
good luck
