Question:

Can sea bass be cooked from frozen or should I defrost it?

these are headless but on the bone.

Answers:
You can cook any fish from frozen, but with something special like sea bass, I would defrost first

Please defrost slowly if possible. Do not cook frozen

you should always slowly defrost frozen food

Definetley thaw it first. It will cook much better.

Usually trying to cook frozen food doesnt work well.
90% you will end up with something that is overcooked on the outside and raw in the middle..

They should be defrosted first.....I am assuming they are already cleaned. Roll them in flour and if you have a cast iron fry pan I find that is the best but are also good done on the bar-b-q in one of those fish holders.

I'm afraid to say you should thoroughly defrost it first. Be careful with cooking fish and any shellfish, always cook from fresh where possible.
I assume its already been 'cleaned out' - I would slice some thinly cut orange, and place it inside with some parsley and sea salt.
The rub some sea salt in the skin, will help it to crisp and be extra tasty.
You can just grill it like this.... or you could do the above, and place it in a large foil envelope, with a drizzle of white wine. Seal the envelop up, and cook slowly in the oven....
Some nice salad, or Mediterranean veg and you'll be laughing.
Hope this answer helps?
Enjoy! :0)

I would defrost it first and you can also marinate it and it will cook better defrosted about ten minutes on each side. you can cook it frozen though like a frozen hamburger patty.

defrost I believe is the better chioce.
then fill it with fennel, white wine, salt and pepper
wrap it in foil
and bake it for 20-25 min

easy dinner and delicious
