Im worried about my bf?!
Im worried about my bf?
I think he may have some sort of eating disorder. He is always saying how hungry he is, even though some days he can eat 5 proper meals AND still have room for snacks.
He hasnt worked for 4 years due to a disability. He lives with his grandparents who give him a full roast dinner EVERY DAY!
Yesterday i know for a fact he had 2 full roast dinners plus seconds and he ate a whole pack of biscuits afterwards!
He is 6ft tall and looks only slightly overweight, i think this is mainly because he works out a few times a week so burns off some of the weight.
Im scared of talking to him about it in case he takes it the wrong way, but surely his eating habits arent normal????

Depending on his age... He could just be a growing boy and the can eat A LOT! If he is out of work he may be eating out of boredom or depression. Encourage him to make wise food choices not to eat junk and a lot of fatty or carbohydrate filled foods. Invite to take a walk around the park or play basketball (fill in sport of your choice) after or before dinner or suggest you to join a gym or get on an exercise program you can always disguise this by saying that you want to get in shape and don't want to go to a gym alone. If this doesn't help then you might talk to his family and seek their help with this. Good luck!
Ask the doctor about him. tell him everything youve explained to us. Dont bring your husband because oblviously he'll take it the wrong way again.
(Or you could always start hinting things)
He might just have a high metabolism.
That is not normal =[
Maybe he has worms? You need to try and talk to him about it as worms could be come serious!
he's quite a big lad to feed, and possibly has a high metabolism [ uses up food quickly]. This would be nothing to worry about - how wonderful to be able to eat what you like!
Another possibility is an overactive thyroid - but the only person who can diagnose this is his doctor.
If he feels well, there probably is no cause to worry
Some people eat more than the rest of us. If he isn't obese, or really overweight, it's okay.
Sort of sounds like my hubby. He can pack it away! But he's 6'1" and thin. I don't know how he does it. Must be a combination of his job (active work) and a higher metabolism.
He might have a tape worm. We knew a guy who could 5 to 6 times a day and never gained any weight- well he had a tape worm.
He may just have excellent metabolism, coupled with his working out. Men usually metabolize food better than women anyway. Otherwise, you may want to ask your doctor.
