Is cocoa really an Aphrodisiac?!

Question:

Is cocoa really an Aphrodisiac?

Cocca being the main ingredeant in Chocolate.

Answers:
Yes, Coca is a natural sexual enhancer. It is made from the Coca plant found in the Andes. It is used for medicinal use, as well as making illegal drugs, Chocolate, and other biological enhancements.

I've heard that too.

I've just had a bar of chocolate, you should see my nuts & raisins.

yes definately.

That's kind of the opposite of what I've heard. What I've heard is that women (generally speaking) can often obtain the same sort or level of satisfaction from chocolate as from sex. So my guess would be that it's the opposite of an aphrodisiac, since it can satisfy the same areas of the brain that sex does.

not the stuff we get but when its more raw...

The legend was taken by the Spaniards to Europe when talking about the drink Emperor Moctezuma of the Aztecs took preliminary to his incursion into the harem. The drink was made of cocoa, vanilla, honey and water and was called "chocolatl" from where the word chocolate was born. In Europe the used milk and sugar instead of water and honey and chocolate became popular. Being a children's favourite, I believe the aphrodisiac story an exaggeration or maybe a marketing ruse to sell more chocolate.

Note: Cocoa is a seed coming from a pod. It originated in Mexico and probably was grown in Central America as well. It has nothing to do with COCA which is another plant altogether originated in South America in Andean countries like Peru and Bolivia. Cocoa is now grown in Africa and tropical countries in Asia and the Americas.

Its something to do with seratonins and the brain. It has a similar chemical structure to MDMA aka extasy, although the latter is more expensive for a reason.Cheese is a weird one,it latches on to our opiate receptors, giving us all a mild fix.
