so many good answers. I had to give up regular soda, and sugar when diabetes type ll entered my life. (God really blessed me in the transition) and splenda is a great substitute for my coffee.

Note to GRITS: sorry dude but sugar dose make you fat. Unless you burn up the calories generated by the intake of the sugar in a 12 0z soda, it will be changed and stored into a fat cell. (10th grade Biology).

Also noteworthy is the amount of sugar in a 12 oz can is equal to 16 or 17 teaspons of sugar, measure that out sometime thats a lot of sugar in on shot. the average store or machine bottle of soda is 20oz. I use to drink at least one 2 ltr bottle of soda a day, and a quart of coffee laden with sugar. My coffee is approx 1 or 2 cups, 1 ltr of diet soda, and lots more water approx 1.5 to 2 ltrs per day.

Now if I could just get that excited about my exercize.

Diet Coke and Coke Zero use different sugar substitutes. Diet Coke uses sachrin, Coke Zero uses splenda.

coke zero

well diet coke has zero calories and coke zero has zero sugar but i like pepsi the most

Coke Zero, the real question is why is there a Pepsi One? I mean why are you going to make it have one calorie, you might as well make it calorie free lmao

I hate diet or low-calorie anything. My drink is regular Pepsi or regular Coke. If they made an extra-calorie Coke or Pepsi, I'd drink that.

I've never seen the point of a diet soda -- the sugar doesn't make you fat -- FAT makes you fat and there's no fat in soda.

More choices = better marketing. I drink iced tea.

Well I agree with you on the Diet Pepsi being better as it is my choice as well. As for Diet coke and Coke Zero will I would go with Diet Coke...just cause it is easier to find...

Pepsi.....Period

quite simply because coke zero is marketed at males whereas diet is marketed at females, males tend to get put off by the 'diet' part and therefore the majority of coke zero buyers are males. They are basically the same just one for each gender

Basically:

Coca Cola: Made with sugar & caffeine
Diet Coke: Made with aspartame & caffeine - taste is close to Coke
Coke Zero: Made with splenda, NO caffeine - tastes just like Coke

First came 'Diet Coke' which was a 0 calorie version of Coca Cola due to 'aspartame' - the artificial sweetner used. Diet Coke however tasted quite different to the original Coca Cola.

Then, with the creation of splenda, more doors were opened as this sweetner actually tastes more like sugar than its counterpart 'aspartame'. With this came Coke Zero - also a zero calorie version of Coca Cola, but with a taste closer to Coca Cola. Coke Zero is also caffeine free.

I like all of them!

water has zero calories and hopefully zero other crap in there. The jury is still out whether artifical sweeteners have any bad side effects or not.
what's wrong with drinking water? I prefer it.
