Is diet soda/pop more worse than regular? If so, why?!

Question:

Is diet soda/pop more worse than regular? If so, why?

Answers: Yes it is.

It is generally sweetened with aspartame, which is very dangerous and known to be a carcinogen (cancer-causing).

Leaving aside that artificial sweeteners are generally not safe and shouldn't be food-approved, they can often have the opposite of the desired effect. Many people use them to help lose weight, since they contain NO calories, unlike sugar. But there is recent evidence that, calories aside, your body reacts to sweeteners in much the same way as it reacts to sugar. It THINKS it has had sugar, so the blood sugar level spikes in a very similar way. The bllod sugar spike is what causes the food cravings associated with a high-sugar diet, and why actually you may well put ON weight while trying to use artificial sweeteners as a sugar substitute, instead of just cutting down on foods that are too sweet.

Drink water! It can make you have the runs, i believe. Or is that only sorbitol candy Yes, because not only does it taste bad, but uses those artificial sweetners. They can't be good for you. The answer from piano_kath says it perfectly! You won't lose weight but you will put your health at risk. Appearently diet soda is healthier, then regular soda. I don't know about pop though.
