Why do you care?!
Why do you care?
Why do you care?
if somebody wants to be vegan, why do people give them advice telling them to eat meat? it's their choice and it doesn't even effect anyone elses life.
why can't we just be nice to people, especially if they aren't mean to us?
Answers: I use to care... I was a total a-hole to every veggie on this board... I can admit it... I know I was...
Why?
Because some people are more passionate about food then others, I couldn't understand why people would deny themselves something so tasty...
I started reading this blog, by Lillyian, it was interesting, and I slooooooowly started to learn that veggies are too passionate about food, but do not support the abuse of animals as a source for food.
Noble, I will admit, if they want to support humane treatment by not eating meat then [ insert thumbs up.jpg here ] Way To Go!
So now, I just skip right by the veggie section, soon I wont be able to eat anything, after learning about, Paté de foie gras, sorry, I have to draw a line at that, it is just to yummy...
So to each his own...
?
? because thats life. deal. Because you are learning:
98% of the people are stupid, and the other 2% haven't reached puberty!
I have reached puterby...er,tuperby...uh, prebuty...OH! WHATEVERRRR I have yet to run into a vegan who didn't attack others for eating animal products.
If you live and let live, then I'm good with you. But just this morning, I ran into a vegetarian who was singling out one person for giving up on being a vegetarian. She was promoting her Yahoo group and everything. I can't understand why she couldn't just let it go.
So, if you're the first vegan that I've run into who doesn't criticize people who eat meat and use animal products, thanks for living up to your own words. You may want to have a chat with your vegan buddies. My sister is vegetarian. I think we just want her to be healthy and get enough protein. We don't force her to eat meat or anything. We get things like veggie burgers, soy milk, and protein suppliments and she eats a ton of vegetables and fruits, almost nothing else. It is her choice and we respect it. But I know what you mean, people always give advice about food even to me, and its a personal choice. For example, I love sushi, many others find fish and seafood disstasteful. We should be more open minded about people's choice of food, but its hard when we have opinions about certain foods that are different from other people's. I don't care, I have a question, "Why do Vegans act like I personally killed Bambi just because I enjoy a good steak?"
There is nothing worse then a self-righteous attitude no matter what the topic. I work with a lacto-ovo vegitarian. We don't harrass her about her choice, and she doesn't get up on her soap box about the "dangers" of eating meat. True, why can't we just let people eat anything normal that they want to. I know a vegan who eats 8 packets of crisps or American potato chips a day on three slices of white bread at a time. He says I'm a vegan I didn't say I was a healthy one. He has no problem with other peoples eating habits so live and let live.
