Don't believe everything you read. Do you believe in this saying?!

Question:

Don't believe everything you read. Do you believe in this saying?

Answers: Don't believe..... If you have a hard time not believing, than you'll think eveyone lies, everyone hurts, everyone is fake. I believe 90% of what I read and find out facts from the other 10%. Sure do........ yes of course! People lie everyday.... Sure, but what does that have to do with vegetarianism or veganism. Absolutely! Believe nothing that you hear and only half of what you see.

De omnibus dubitandum It's not just a "saying" its good advice.
Take for example, the old testament. I dont believe ANY of that yes but again wat does it have to do with vegetarian? No way. There are so many Journalist out there persuading to take one side or another about a particular celebrity, politician or situation you almost can believe anything you read.

TRUST AND VERIFY Depends on the facts behind the story in the line I believe it's "don't believe anything you hear" whereas reading accounts for 80% of what we have learned, that is, reading is knowledge. YEAH! of course, just in this catagory alone there are so many "facts" thrown around about the evils of eating meat and how it destroys land and everything else. Of course you shouldn't believe everything you read. But we are humans and have the ability to reason and judge. If something strikes you as being suspicious or if it is information that will be significantly life changing or cause you to make big decisions because of it then you should consider the source and check to make sure it jibes. It's not like we don't have the technology to double-check sources these days. um, rome? I'm fairly certain that eating meat destroys the environment. If you want facts, here are a few:
-Over grazing by cattle and sheep can cause erosion, decrease the ability of soil to hold water, and lead to desertification.
-Part of rain forest destruction is to make land for cattle grazing. However, the soil in rain forests is bad at holding nutrients because of all the rain that causes nutrients to leach away. It's also highly prone to erosion. This land quickly becomes ill-suited to raising cattle or growing crops, and becomes barren.

Before you claim that we're just throwing around "facts", rome, you should do some homework too, because some of the facts we throw around do have weight.
