Answers: Hello!
Both my young daughter & I are veggie, so I've had to a lot of research! Saw that you love pasta, so I'll give you a list of a few; pick some out and I'll e-mail the complete recipes. I know how hard it is at first, & a lot of veggie stuff can be bland, but I promise - no pulses! I've got:
spinach & ricotta conchiglie
mushroom bolognese
broccoli & ricotta cannelloni
courgette fritters with chilli jam
pasta primavera
puddings:
tropical friut with hot rum & cinnamon sauce
fruit fondue with hazelnut dip
banana & pecan bread
Better stop now, I'm getting carried away. Good luck and let me know if any of the above take your fancy - fluropink Source(s):
copious amounts of veggie cook books! I eat a lot of rice with zuchhini squash fried in vegetable oil (not a lot). Mix in some sauteed bell peppers and add a little cayenne pepper and garlic salt to the rice.
It's pretty easy and very filling. try eating mexican italian or asian dishes. lots of them are vegetarian or can be. there is a really good site called allrecipes dot com you can put in what you want in a recipe & it finds things for you. They have all be submitted by people.
Also the cranks recipe book is excellent try looking online, there are many recources out there.
I'm a vegetarian and I get recipies at thse sites:
http://www.vegpeople.com - a message board community, but they have a recipe index as well.
http://allrecipes.com/recipes/everyday-c... - i like this one alot because users can rate the recipe, post their comments and what changes they made, etc.
http://www.vrg.org/ - i don't use this one much, but lots of my friends do and really like it. I cook for a veggie, you can make a veg stew with onions carrots peppers swede potatoes etc. any veg really, but I add kidney beans butter beans a tin of tomatoes and a tin of beans then add cumin its spicey and can be liquidised if you don't like bits. I also make quiche with peppers onions mushrooms eggs and cheese. or a nice tomato onion and basil omelet. Hope this helps My husband is a korean sushi cheif, so I eat alot of asian type vegan foods, like rice dishes (such as cucumber, namasu, avacado, lemon grass, cilantro, korean chili peppers, and spinach chirashi; or ochazuke, wich is rice with green tea poured over it), kimchi, vegan sushi (kappamaki), spring rolls, etc. I also enjoy fresh fruit juices (pineapple, kiwi, mango, papaya, strawberry, apple, lemon w/stevia, cantalope, etc.) and smoothies (banana with every berry imaginable and a hint of maple syrup), and of cource... cool and crisp watermelon. I like simple things, nothing that is overcooked or over spiced. Go to the library and look up "Not Just A load of Old Lentils" It'll be worth your while. You can cook a lot of Indian dishes that are healthy and tasty. A good and easy one is Channa Masala. You should be able to look for the recipe online. www.vegweb.com Lot's of great stuff. o well look i am 14 and have bin a vegitairan 4 2 years and i cook 4 my self and sorta live on my own.and i really dont know any off the top of my head but i can tell u some stuff if u wana stay veggitarian just go 2 peta2.com and try 2 look 4 info about why u should b a veggitarian and belive me if u have a soul u will not wana eat it!!
