Is it okay to eat Avacodo once it starts to brown?!

Question:

Is it okay to eat Avacodo once it starts to brown?

I sliced up an avacodo around 2pm today and it is now after 5pm. I have it in a container in the fridge, but I know that avacodo browns really fast. i didnt put any lemon juice on it (i forgot too). but i want to eat it later in my greek salad, will it be okay to eat or no? (its the only one i have)

Answers: i would eaet it quickly within a day or so.Next time when you chop it up leave the pit in the avocado or lemon juice. It should still be ok, just doesn't look very pretty. it's still good to eat, and once you slice it up, it will be green on the inside. Its fine, i have that happen 2 me all the time, and iff it does you can blame me...... coure im from texas soooo... i kinda have a storong stomach for wild gross fooods Depends and how it looks on the inside and how smooth it is!
It better look green and desirable! it is ok to eat, but its presentation will suffer. i use oxidized fruits in sauces or chutnies:)
the flavor profile is not too affected, so eat on, and remember your citric acid and oil next time! yup it should be just fine... no problems with you eating it at all Yes if it taste okay do,,, it's just the oxygen truning it.
Even sometimes putting lemon on them doesn't help. AS TO how to know when an avocado is going to be a good one to eat, you should avoid any that look brown in places, as this is a sign that the flesh is damaged.
