Yes, I find it crazy too. And then they challenge US for wanting to do the right thing. I think lack of knowledge is the culprit here. People don't know what goes on inside those factories. They are oblivious to the horrible conditions under which the animals are forced to live under. If only some people knew, they might become vegetarian. That chicken nugget may look tasty, but if the knew where it came from? Uck.
Just last week I convinced my friend to become a vegetarian after showing her a few graphic images of dead or dying animals in factories. It's very sad. She was disgusted, and didn't know such cruelty went on to get that chicken on her plate at Chik-Fil-A. So it wasn't so much her heart, as it was her naivety about the situation.
