TallPaul- thanks-that would be precisely why I included Boston in my question- I'm one of the many Americans that actually doesn't need that pointed out to me- but there are many who do- just don't lump me in!
So anyone with a recommendation?

The Grasshopper in Allston, is a fabulous chinese restaurant.
The Five Seasons in Jamaica Plain - offers some great vegetarian dishes, although they do serve meat.

Central Square - is loaded with ethnic restaurants where you can find many veggie dishes.

Harvard Square also has options.

There was a tibetan restaraunt in Union Square (actually just north of there) - Sommerville - that had some wonderful food.

I moved from Boston six years ago, but I spent time as a vegan there and was always able to find good food.

Reading the post above - Jose's mexican is also known as "The Border Cafe" there is one located here in North Delaware - their Black Bean Empanade is delicious. I am lucky there is one here, because I loved it in Harvard square.
